Co-op Car Park, White Street, Great Dunmow, Essex CM6 1BD
The walk starts in the centre of Great Dunmow, (about 35miles from Cambridge) at the Co-op car park.
Take the M11 south, exit at junction 8, left at lights for Colchester and Stansted then right at roundabout for Colchester A120. Pass Stansted on the left and after about 4.5 miles exit left for Great Dunmow, B1256. Stay on this B road towards the town centre, passing Tesco on the left at a roundabout then turning left at the next roundabout signposted Gt. Dunmow town centre. You should be on Stortford Road. Bear right at a mini roundabout then Stortford Road joins the B184 which is the High Street. Turn left off the High Street into long stay car park (near the war memorial on the right) which doubles as the Co-op car park. It is free on Sundays. Toilets are available.
The walk is about 11 miles with lunch in Great Eastern where there is a pub, The Swan.
