Girton Recreation Ground Car Park, Cambridge Road, Girton, CB3 0PN

From Cambridge, take the A1307 Huntingdon Road. Turn right into Girton at sign. Continue along Girton/Cambridge Road for approx. one mile. Just after Girton Glebe School on right and before church, turn right into Pavilion/Recreation ground car park.

Walk is approx. 10 miles; 5 miles in morning and 5 miles in afternoon . This is a new walk and is completely different from other walks we have lead from Girton. We start from Girton and go to Madingley, including the grounds of Madingley Hall. Please bring all refreshments for the day.

In line with the requirements for group walks of more than 6 people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with contact details. Please phone the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name and phone number! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted. The maximum number of people allowed on any walk is 30. No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidelines members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
