Sunday B Walk from Comberton to Bourn
October 11 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Parking is at Comberton Recreation ground carpark, CB23 7BZ, TL382564. Coming from Cambridge, take the A603, turn right after the M11 junction roundabout, to Barton and Comberton. In Comberton, just before the zebra crossing and with the post office just ahead on your left, turn right into Hines Lane, the car park is at the end of the lane.
The walk is a circular walk to Bourn, about 10.5 miles, slightly longer in the morning than afternoon. We will not use a pub, so please bring with you what food and drink you need for the day. We cross 4 fields, none are ploughed, but the paths, though firm, will be slippery if wet, so walking poles are advisable if you use them.
Maximum number of people 12, please text me in advance if you want to book a place. My mobile number for contacting me is 07983 453713.
In line with the requirements for group walks of more than 6 people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with contact details. Please text or phone the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name as part of your text! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted. The maximum number of people allowed on any walk is 30.
No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidelines members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
More details relating to taking part in and leading Club walks in a ‘Covid-19’ environment are posted on the CRC website, under ‘Members’.
