DIRECTIONS TO BLACK BULL INN IN BALSHAM

The Black Bull Inn, 27 High Street, Balsham, Cambridge CB21 4 DJ

From Cambridge take Cherry Hinton Road to Robin Hood pub in Cherry Hinton.  Go straight on to Fulbourn.  Drive through Fulbourn, keeping on main road, crossing A11, to Balsham.  In Balsham keep on main road, passing small bandstand on bend on left and after next bend look out for Black Bull Inn on right.  Triple park on left side of Black Bull car park or park in recreation ground car park along side road (Church Lane) from bandstand.  The Black Bull toilets will be available from 9.30.  Please only park at Black Bull if you are booked for the lunch.  For those walking but not attending the lunch please park in Balsham Recreation Ground Car Park, Church Lane, Balsham CB21 4DS.  The directions are the same but turn left off main road at small bandstand with weathercock on top.

The walk leaves at 10.00 from the Black Bull Inn car park and is 6.9 miles but may be shortened to 5.5 miles if the weather is bad.  The walk goes south of Balsham along the Icknield Way, then along the Harcamlow Way or Roman Road to Streetly End.  We return to Balsham via Webb’s Road past the Streetly Estate and through the community millennium wood.
