This 15 mile Fig 8 walk will be led by Jill with a car share from Harvey Rd at 8.45. The parking and start of the walk are at West Stow Country Park, Icklingham Rd, West Stow, Bury St Edmunds, post code IP28 6HG. grid ref 800715. Coming from Cambridge you can either drive A14, A11 to Barton Mills and then turn Right onto A1101, or come on A14 to J40, turn off Left for Cavenham then onto Lackford and turn Left onto A1101 and then Right to West Stow. There is a £2 charge for the car park. If going straight to the start, please be there by 9.25.

The morning is around 8.5 miles and the afternoon around 6.5 miles. There is a cafe at the park which will be open at lunchtime for a drink as well as sandwiches, cakes etc. Jill plans to visit the Suffolk Wildlife Reserve of Lackford Lakes in the afternoon. The area around West Stow is a somewhat different area in which to walk as there are extensive forest areas and the walking is on light sandy soil.
