Start time: 9.30 ready to walk
Length of walk: 16 miles
The start of the walk and parking: Park in the free car park, behind houses, off Gaces Acre at TL521342, CB11 3RE – this car park is signposted from the High Street. (Or park considerately in residential streets nearby.)
The circular route takes us through the north Essex countryside and arrives in the very attractive village of Thaxted for lunch.
Refreshments: Please bring a packed lunch and other refreshments and there may be time for a drink in a pub.

Car sharing is always encouraged but particularly for this walk as the car park is quite small.
