Parking and Start:  The start of the walk and parking  are in the laybys on Salusbury Lane. The directions to the start are: The route from Cambridge is to take the A10 to Royston, then the A505 past Baldock to pick up the A1 south; turn off at the first junction to Stevenage north and turn right onto the Hitchin Road. Follow this round the south of Hitchin to pick up the road to Luton and turn left to Great Offley, driving up Offley Hill. At the first crossroads, turn left into High Street. Then, near the church, post code SG5 3DU, turn right into Salusbury Lane and park in a layby just round the bend.

Distance: 15 miles

Refreshments: please bring a packed lunch for Lunch in Preston, but we should be able to get a drink at the Red Lion pub.

Walk: This area is renowned for bluebell woods and we should walk by or in at least 10 of these.
