Walking near Helmsley on the Ebor Way

Location

We stayed two nights at Helmsley YH in the middle of the North York Moors, with excellent walking close to Rievaulx Abbey. The next three nights were at the independent Whitby Backpackers Hostel on the quayside. We walked two sections of the Cleveland Way; near Staithes and Runswick Bay; and from Cloughton to Whitby Abbey via Robin Hood’s Bay.
