We had another successful backpacking trip with reasonable amounts of sunshine and views. Thanks to Jill for organising everything including the meals and packed lunches at each hostel, which was a major logistical operation. We can especially recommend the Alston Youth Hostel where we enjoyed excellent hospitality from Val and her team – see photo below.
