Wednesday B Morning Walks
General walk information:
BAM walks are between 5 ½ and 6 ½ miles and walked at a pace of about 3 miles/hr. We begin at 10.00 prompt (unless otherwise stated) and usually finish between 12.30-1.00 pm. For the summer, we will be offering one walk each week. Please let the leader know you are coming by sending them a text (or call). The number of participants in each walk is at the leader’s discretion. We do not stop for lunch but there is normally a short break for a drink etc.

Date 20th December
Walk: Wimpole-multiuse track
Start of walk: (9.50 am for 10.00am entry to the site)
Car parking: We will be using the main car park at Wimpole Hall SG8 0BW Wimpole Estate | National Trust. Special arrangements have been made between the CRC and NT, to allow non-Members of NT into the site for an admission charge of £3* (see Parking at Wimpole Hall for organised CRC walks | Cambridge Rambling Club). On your arrival, meet on the car park side of the ‘Hardwick Gate’ visitor centre.
Please note: In your text, please let me know whether you are members of the National Trust. Please come on time because the whole group has to enter together. We are gathering at 9.50am so that the walk can begin at 10.00am
Another note: In the event of particularly bad weather the National Trust may decide to close the Wimpole Estate to visitors. In that situation we will be forced to abandon the walk. It might be useful to keep an eye on the National Trust website. I will let you know if we are not going ahead.
*Apparently, if you are a life member’ you can admit a non-member free of charge.
