Wednesday B Morning Walks

General walk information:

BAM walks are between 5 ½ and 6 ½ miles and walked at a pace of about 3 miles/hr. We begin at 10.00 prompt (unless otherwise stated) and usually finish between 12.30-1.00 pm.  We do not stop for lunch but there is normally a short break for a drink etc. Please text the leader if you would like to join the walk. It would be appreciated that you send your text before 8pm on the day before the walk.

No one should come on the walk if they feel even slightly ill.

Walk A: Byrons Pool

Start of walk: 10.00 am

Car parking: At the Byron’s Pool car park. TL435551 CB2 9LH.

From Trumpington take Grantchester Rd towards Grantchester.

The car park entrance is on the left just before a row of cottages near the
river.  It is signposted (on the opposite side of the road) to Byron’s Pool.
The walk will be mainly farm and brookside walking near Grantchester,
including a close-up view of radio telescopes and a look at the Trumpington
Meadows Country Park.

From the Grantchester direction Byron’s Pool is on the right.
