Parking and Start : The start of the walk and parking are at the East Town car park, Coupals Road, Haverhill. Post code CB9 7UR.

The walk will take us to Sturmer, along part of Stour Valley Path to Baythorne End, Ridgewell, Birdbrook through Moyn’s Park to Steeple Bumpstead, then back to Haverhill.It will be about 14 miles. Lunch is likely to be in Moyn’s Park. In the afternoon There will be about 2 miles of road walking on a very quiet lane.
Some of this walk will be in Essex, now in Tier 2 for Covid, so we will need to be even more aware of good adherence to social distancing.
In line with the requirements for group walks of more than 6 people, as approved by the Ramblers (the national body for walking), everyone coming on the walk must provide the leader with contact details. Please text or phone the leader if you plan to come. Please remember to give your name as part of your text! Your details will be held for 21 days for Covid-19 ‘test and trace’ purposes, then deleted. The maximum number of people allowed on this walk is 12.
No one should come on the walk if you feel even slightly ill. Please make sure that you bring with you a face covering, hand sanitiser and any walking poles you need; no equipment or refreshments can be shared beyond households. In line with government guidelines members are asked to observe ‘social distancing’ on the walk.
