The tranquil Great Ouse valley bisects the “growth corridor” between Cambridge and Peterborough, with a wealth of flora and fauna under large open skies, including snake’s head fritillary and scarce chaser dragonfly. CPRE Cambridgeshire & Peterborough is supporting the Ouse Valley Trust in campaigning for this valley to be classified as an AONB. As a member of CPRE in Hertfordshire I’m happy to share this local news. Club members who may be interested in the project can find further information at the CPRE website, where it is also possible to download a PDF brochure produced by Ouse Valley Trust.
