It is very sad to record the death of Ailsa Macqueen at 87, a member of the CRC for well over 40 years and our Club archivist. Ailsa was very active until just over 6 years ago, when she had a bad accident whilst on holiday on a narrow boat; unfortunately she was never able to enjoy walking again. However – always looking on the bright side – Ailsa managed to get out and about with the help of her family, even if she was confined to a wheelchair. Ailsa moved from Cambridge to Yorkshire a couple of years ago, to be close to her son Colin. Some time this summer Ailsa’s family plan to hold a party – at her request – for all old friends in Cambridge.
